Business News RSS Feeds

In general, the first thing you need is something called a news reader. This is a piece of software that checks the feeds and lets you read any new articles that have been added. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications.

Browser-based news readers let you catch up with your RSS feed subscriptions from any computer, whereas downloadable applications let you store them on your main computer, in the same way that you either download your e-mail using Outlook, or keep it on a web-based service like Hotmail. Here's a selection to help you along, depending on your set-up.

Windows
Newz Crawler
FeedDemon
Awasu
Mac OS X
Newsfire
NetNewsWire

Other News Readers (GOOGLE)

You simply click on the BBC Business News feed link and your web browser, providing it's fairly up to date, will amazingly know what to do and will ask you where do you want to save the bookmark too. It's just like bookmarking a website which we're sure you've all probably done before. Alternatively you'll have to copy the link into your Newsreader Application.

"OK then, why's that so amazing?" you ask. Well, and here's the clever bit, when you then go to that 'bookmark' you'll automatically see a list of links to the most current news stories that are magically pushed down to your computer without you having to trot off elsewhere. Magic! And all you have to do is scan down the list to see if there is anything of interest and then click on the headline to jump off to read the full article. See, told you it was easy.
